Today is a great day. Great weather, and my parents are en route from Florida for a visit. In the meantime, we went to the farmer's market, which is directly across the street from the stadium where our local Single A baseball team used to play their games. The Greensboro Grasshoppers (né Bats) have moved into fancier digs downtown, but the old stadium remains. You know it's old when it is named after the FIRST World War.
It doesn't get a lot of use these days, but it still has tons of charm. I hear that the city wants to put it on the National Register of Historic Places, but we will see.
Looking forward to tomorrow — opening day!
