On Sunday, we joined Kelli and Will at Magnolia Manor for their wedding. The rain almost held off, but decided to pour at the last minute. The couple handled it perfectly - they were just so happy to be getting married. The whole day turned out great anyway; the colors, flowers, & the families made things perfect. And cheers to Merry Making Events for keeping calm under pressure. You guys are champs!

Lake Lure photography: Carly & Tom, the wedding
Saturday was a great day for a wedding. Lake Lure was gorgeous and the weather turned out perfectly, despite a healthy thunderstorm in the early afternoon. Nothing dampened Carly and Tom's spirits, though. They were determined to make it a great day, rain or shine. Surrounded by their friends and family, the wedding weekend was perfect. Here are some of the highlights from the big day - be sure to leave the newlyweds a message, too!
Tom is from Sweden, so there were fun details thrown in...
Tom and Carly saw each other before the wedding and we had an awesome photo session...
An emotional walk with Dad...
Eyes only for her groom...
The Lake Lure trolley took us around in style...
This group requested the jump shot and we loved it...
a little window light...
Carly's dad had everyone laughing during the toast...
Tom and Carly were serenaded by the best man while they danced...
Gorgeous mountainside retreat...
Carly can play a mean cowbell...
And they shocked the crowd with a cannonball exit!
Big splash! Congrats guys!

Maternity photography: Julia's shoot
We love it when our wedding clients start having babies! Julia and Mickey were married in 2007 and are now expecting a baby girl in just a few weeks. Julia is an awesome wedding planner (owner of Tie the Knot weddings) and could have a second career as a model extraordinaire. She just looked amazing the whole shoot. Here are just a handful of our favorites. I hope I look this good when my time comes! Congrats Julia and Mickey!
