Jonathan got a call at 1:30 on Friday... could he photograph a wedding in Winston-Salem at 4pm? Sure! It was a pleasure capturing Awilda and William's big day at Grace Court and the downtown Marriott. Have a great honeymoon!
The dashing groom...
They wrote their own touching vows...
The beautiful bride and proud dad...
The vows were very real and heartfelt...
a tender moment...
Thanks guys, I had a great time!

Jillian and Paul
On Saturday we went over to Durham and the Washington Duke Inn for Jillian and Paul's wedding... they had a very unique "ceremony in the round" on the Inn's patio. To cool us off, there was a nice breeze every so often, and a little bit of cloud cover once in a while, and then it turned into one of the best nights for an outdoor party. Congrats guys!

Paul and the guys with their "game faces" on...
Jill and the ladies...
Some passerbys with cool hats checked out the "guestbook tree"...
An emotional walk with Dad...
What a gorgeous spot for a wedding!
a done deal...
the first dance ended with a flourish...
Renee was reminded of her New Orleanean heritage with the Crawfish boil... so ugly, but delicious!
cool cake from Sweet Memories...
some time alone...
I hope they have sunsets like this one in Hawaii for you guys!

Saltimbanco!
Last night we headed over to the Greensboro Coliseum for Cirque du Soleil's performance of Saltimbanco. If you haven't experienced a Cirque du Soleil show, you are really missing out. It's a combination of circus, performance art, and rock show. You are laughing one minute, and your jaw is on the floor the next from the crazy feats of strength and acrobatics.
They are in town for just a few more days... we suggest you get a ticket!

DC trip
We took a short trip up to DC over the weekend... it was a good way to decompress after the busy August! We went up to Charlottesville Friday night to stay with Jonathan's old college buddy Pete and his wife Lynn, and then headed up to DC for a Nationals game on Saturday night. Jonathan has now been to 27 Major League ballparks, and since this is the last year RFK will be used, he insisted on making the trip! Next year the baseball road trip will include Baltimore and Philly, and the new ballpark in DC.
R and J on the way up to DC... With her Royals jersey, Renee must have thought we were going to KC...
Pete...
Lynn...
a beautiful night for a ballgame...
RFK, fare thee well...
the home team's threads...
a panoramic from our initial seats...
When they said "there's Screech," I was looking for the guy from Saved by the Bell
We snuck down to much better seats! The lady behind us wasn't too fond of us... and she let us know it!
See you next year guys!
