TriadWeddings fashion shoot

Yesterday Renee got on the other side of the camera and was a model of wedding gowns for the upcoming issue of TriadWeddings Magazine. Here are a few of the favorites that Jonathan shot on location at High Point's J.H. Adams Inn. Look for the issue to hit newsstands in just a few short weeks.

Amy and Joe, part 2

Amy and Joe were married today in an intimate ceremony in Winston-Salem. This day had a... let's say... unexpected absence. Fortunately, a retired minister stepped in and saved the day! And in the end, all that was remembered was Amy and Joe's love for each other. You can see their engagement session by clicking here.

A classic portrait of Amy...

Amy's parents had a similar car at their wedding, and they rented this 1952 Pontiac as a tribute to them...

Happy Anniversary!

Hey! Happy anniversary to us! We were married 4 years ago today. And it keeps getting better every day. Here is a favorite shot from our wedding by the very talented Stacy Marks of New Orleans.

Bailey's First Photoshoot

Bailey was welcomed into the world in April, and Sunday she had her first photo session. We'll be doing three more before her first birthday, so check back in a few months to see how much bigger and cuter (as if it's possible!) she gets...

Christina and Eli

We traveled north to Eden, NC and Martinsville, VA for Christina and Eli's wedding. There were lots of laughs all day. We had a running argument over whether Christina looked like Jessica Simpson or Avril Lavigne... leave a comment below and let us know what you think!

Christina was just as sweet as she is beautiful...

An evening with Bobby T

Last night we joined Andrea and Rob Steiner (publishers of TriadLiving Magazine) as guests of Bob Timberlake, the well-known artist out of Lexington, NC. It was his 70th birthday party, and he regaled us with lots of great stories and a personal tour of his gallery. Any time you get one-on-one time with such an accopmlished artist, it is such a treat, because that makes their art all the more meaningful when you hear the stories behind the pieces. You can see Bob's work at www.bobtimberlake.com, or stop by his huge gallery in Lexington.

Bob told us about his studio, which was a barn that was nearly burned to the ground by Union soldiers during the Civil War. It was saved by the lady of the house, who threatened to kill one of the officers if he tried to torch her barn!

Martha and Rick

Jonathan had the pleasure of photographing Martha and Rick's wedding this past Saturday. This was a second marriage for both of them, and they each had a child, and all their friends were invited, so it was a lively time!

There was a no photography rule in the church, but I was able to fire a few off from the vestibule...

The reception was at the Canterbury School. Believe it or not, this room serves up sloppy joes and the like... it's the school's lunch room!

Boston trip

I took a quick trip up to my old home of Boston last weekend, because I had Red Sox/Yankees tickets... is there any better reason? It was good to see the game, but also great to see some old friends.
I captured some of the action with my P&S camera...

A Fenway panoramic from our seats... click for a larger view...

Me and Fred. Fred was my best man at my wedding. Because he lives in Amsterdam, I hadn't seen him in 4 years. He happens to be a Yankees fan, but I'm willing to overlook that....

Fred after the Yankees won the first game of the series - how annoying...

I also visited with my former roommate Deb, her husband Marc, and their new baby, Olivia...

I spent Saturday walking the streets of Beantown with Janelle, Brian, Heidi, and Jarrod... Here we are at Boston's new Institute of Contemporary Art... good times...

Update: My buddy Pete from Charlottesville was upset that there was no mention of my stopping by his house on the trip... so, Pete, this one's for you! Here I am with Pete and Lynn...

Whitney's Bridal Portrait

Today we went over to Bicentennial Park for Whitney's bridal portrait session. After a day or two of heavy rains, everything was nice and green, and of course Whitney looked gorgeous. We are looking forward to the wedding!
