Another perfect day for a wedding! Christin and Steve really kept everything in perspective with everything going on... calm, cool, and collected. And it showed through in their photos! I'm looking forward to putting together the albums with them.
The lovely bride...
Christin used the same shoe accents that her grandmother had used...
The ceremony was at St. Paul's in Greensboro
We stopped by Guilford College (their alma mater) for some shots. Here's Steve and the guys...
Everybody jump the groom!
Then off to the reception... (Limo by Sterling Carriage)
A brief walk downtown...
The cakes were delicious!
Always good to see sports fans showing their pride...
First dance at the classy Empire Room...
And White Chocolate had everybody jammin the whole night!

Bark at the Park
Yesterday our local minor league team, the Greensboro Grasshoppers, had their annual Bark at the Park event, where you can bring your dogs down to the ballpark. We went with our friends Cari and Phil, and we caught some of the action on our little point and shoot camera...
Walking to the ballpark...

we got to go on the field for a parade...
Eddie ended up winning "most unique trick"... he raises his paw when you ask him "who wants a treat" and he will lay down on his side when you point your finger at him and say "bang"!

Jennifer and Jeremy
We took a trip down to Salisbury for Jennifer and Jeremy's wedding on Saturday. Great weather and lots of fun personalities made this party one to remember! On a side note, everybody was saying I looked like the guy from Rascal Flatts... should I be upset? Also, you can take a look at Jennifer's bridal session here.
The beautiful bride...
Jen and the girls...
Cute flower girl...
and ringbearer...
Nice color choices...
Jeremy waiting for his bride...
The girls wanted to give Jeremy a lift...
Reception was at the gorgeous Boxwood Lodge in Mocksville
First dance with Jeremy...
then an emotional dance with her dad...
The theme of the evening...
This crew knew how to have fun...
These girls cracked eachother up!
and the party kept going...

New lens and dogs
So I just got my new toy... um, lens via UPS today. It is a 70-200mm, 2.8 VR. If you're not a photographer, I'm sorry, but you can't relate to the excitement when you open up that package. It's like Christmas! I am real excited to put this to the test tomorrow at Jennifer and Jeremy's wedding. Look for post from that early next week. For now, here are some shots that I took right out of the box...
Penny Belle...
Penny Belle mid-lick!
How sharp is this!
Outside with a long lens is one thing, but how does it do in low light? Here is a shot from about 35-40 feet; 200iso, 2.8, 1/40 sec. The VR really makes an incredible difference...

Kelley and Brett
We made the 4-hour drive down to China Grove Plantation in Oriental, NC for the wedding of Kelley and Brett. The house was charming, the weather was perfect, and the the mood was festive. The whole day just had a great vibe to it!

Diana and John
Saturday we had the pleasure of photographing Diana and John's wedding in Winston-Salem. Now, these guys (and probably 80% of their guests) are from New York... so I had to keep making Red Sox comments! All in good fun though, and we had great time.
The beautiful bride...
The good-looking groom...
We had some time to kill between the ceremony and reception, so we stopped by Wendy's of course...
and then by Grace Court in Winston-Salem's West End
Too cute for words! (photo by Renee)
Diana accessorizes well...
as does John... (photo by Renee)
